Petrac wish to announce the acquisition of the Pacific Pines Estate at Lennox Head, following completion of a national tender process.
Since 1992, Petrac has become widely regarded in South East Queensland as an innovative developer of quality, contemporary communities. Petrac’s business began with mainstream residential development and now includes quality retirement options. Our projects seek to create vibrant and sustainable communities through application of best practice in urban design.
A snapshot of Petrac projects, past and present, include Pine Mountain at Carindale, Moreton Waters at Ormiston, Glen Eden Gympie, Orchard Beach Heights at Redland Bay, Bay Breeze at Wellington Point, Beach Road Holiday Homes on Noosa North Shore and the first of our Leisure Life retirement communities at Redland Bay.
The Pidcock family’s 80 hectare Pacific Pines Estate site was sold with an existing Master Plan in place providing for a range of residential lots, a tavern, additional childcare facilities, a community hall and local shopping to complement existing village facilities.
Petrac is committed to ensuring its developments provide not only quality housing options, but also community facilities and services. A collaborative community approach has been used on previous Petrac projects – Redland Bay Leisure Life and Noosa North Shore. It is planned that the Lennox Head community will be consulted during an “Enquiry by Design” process (EBD) to improve and add to the community outcomes of the current master plan. By consulting the community, the EBD team will optimise knowledge of the constraints and opportunities of the site which in turn will assist to bring about maximum benefits for the Lennox community and immediate neighbours of the site.
Petrac has chosen to work with Ecologically Sustainable Design Pty Ltd, recognised as world class urban design facilitators. In addition to the ESD team, Petrac have brought together a talented and experienced group of urban designers and planners, many of whom reside in the local area.
The EBD team will test and evolve design proposals in response to project objectives and community input. The resulting designs will be refined over the course of the workshop and presented at the concluding public meeting. The information collected during the workshop will create an upgraded Master Plan vision and a draft Concept Plan to be submitted to Council.
The Enquiry by Design event is currently in the planning stages and Petrac extends an invitation to all members of the local community to attend various public sessions, scheduled between Friday 30th March and Tuesday 3rd April. The venue will be a Marquee at the Basketball Courts in Mackneys Lane (beside Lennox Head Rural Fire Service).
