What is an Enquiry by Design?

Enquiry by design (EBD) is an intensive multi day collaborative design process that provides a great opportunity to create a well resolved and broadly supported design for important sites such as Pacific Pines.  

The EBD will bring together Petrac and its design team with Shire regulatory staff, Councillors, relevant Government agencies, surrounding developers and, most importantly, the local community of Lennox Head.  We need to do this in order to learn more about the constraints and opportunities of the Pacific Pines site, how this development should optimise both short and longer term benefits for Lennox Head and immediate neighbours, for the end users of the project and for Petrac.

The EBD will be conducted in Lennox Head, so that the team can collaborate with key stakeholders, learn from the site, as well as determine with the place specific choices available. The EBD team will test and evolve design proposals in response to all known project objectives and parameters.  The resulting designs will be refined in collaboration with stakeholders towards a preferred outcome by the end of the workshop.
