Pacific Pines Estate Enquiry by Design Workshop
The Lennox Head Enquiry By Design (EBD) Workshop was held from Friday 30th March to Tuesday 3rd April in a marquee on the Mackneys Lane tennis courts in Lennox Head. The five day intense Workshop Program comprised of an Opening Public Presentation on the Friday night, Stakeholder sessions on Saturday, Public Open Design Studios on both Saturday and Sunday and the Presentation of Outcomes to the Public on Tuesday night.
These outcomes have been generated after significant input and support from many Lennox Head consultants, stakeholders, community organisations and residents during the workshop process.
A Summary of Outcomes booklet was distributed in June 2007 outlining the Enquiry by Design process, objectives and summarising the outcomes to date. A key purpose of the brochure was to provide an opportunity for all participants and the wider community to comment and suggest on ways to further improve the EBD Workshop outcomes.
The design plans and sketches created over the five day workshop in April 2007 are listed below:
Aerial Perspective and Concept Plan
Artist Perspectives of the Community
Architecture, Housing and the Potential School Site
These plans will form the basis of the masterplan application to be submitted to the Department of Planning NSW. A formal submission of the Concept Plan and Stage 1 Project Application will be made later this year.
There will be continued consultation with Ballina Shire Council and NSW State Government Agencies to ensure we comply with all guidelines and strategic planning documents.
Once all approvals are in place, development will commence (expected by mid 2008 with sales of residential blocks expected to be released towards the end of the year).
